  5. A summer filled with Ontroerend Goed

    15/07/2021 — Summer is in full swing and what is a better way to enjoy it than with some great theatre? Ontroerend Goed will definitely fulfill this wish. Since 7/07 until 29/08 they are showing a reworked version of “A Game of You” at Zomer van Antwerpen, in collaboration with the students of the Conservatory of Antwerp. Furthermore you can discover the reboot of “The Smile Off your Face” they created together with the students of KASK School of Arts at Bijloke Wonderland in Ghent on 11-29/08. At Bijloke Wonderland you can also see the wonderous performance-concert “Spectacles” by Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe on 28 & 29/08.

    21/06/2021 — Brazilian choreographer Alice Ripoll and Cia. REC have finally arrived in Europe for the premiere of LAVAGEM! They are now in a ten-day quarantine in order to premiere their newest creation in all safety at Wiener Festwochen in Vienna on 28 June-02 July.   7. Live premiere at Athens & Epidaurus Festival

    27/05/2021 — On Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 June at 9 pm, Lamenta, the newest creation by Rosalba Torres Guerrero and Koen Augustijnen will have it’s live premiere at Athens and Epidaurus Festival! Together with Greek dancers and inspired by Miroloi, they explored how traditional Greek music and dance can nourish a contemporary creation. The Greek dancers create a micro-community to experience the remanence of cultural legacies. They move as one body. They keep paying attention to each other in order to really feel all the emotions created on stage collectively. This way they create a new ritual to collectively mourn feelings of loss.     29/04/2021 — After months of scheduling and re-scheduling we are very excited that on April 30 SIRI, the new creation by Jorge Jácome and Marco da Silva Ferreira, will finally premiere online at DDD at 11 pm (CET). The performance will be available online until May 2 at 00.59 am (CET) on the BOL virtual stage. If you happen to be in Portugal tomorrow at 7 pm, you can go to Teatro Campo Alegre to experience the performance live!

  10. New creation Ontroerend Goed - TM™️

    19/02/2021 — Belgian theatre company Ontroerend Goed is exploring new ways to bring theatre to the people at home. These are confusing times and the uncertainty is the ideal breeding ground for media manipulation, populist ideas and conspiracy theories. Through social media we are constantly confronted with ‘the other’, with a group of people with different ideas about the world than us. With TM™️ Ontroerend Goed wants to connect with ‘the other’ in order to find what unites us. This will be an individual performance in the form of an intake-talk. One actor, one spectator. The performance will be digital and can therefore be performed worldwide, on different spots and at the same time.

    18/12/2020 — Now that the season of giving is upon us, we would like to share with you a crowdfunding campaign that was awarded to Brazilian choreographer Alice Ripoll by Danse Aujourdhui. Through this campaign, she hopes to raise enough money to start working on her newest creation with Cia. SUAVE. For this creation, she will again work with dancers from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. She not only gives them the opportunity to express themselves artistically, but she also provides dance classes they would otherwise not be able to take. In spite of the current situation in Australia, the festival decided to continue as planned, with a few adjustments to some of the performances outdoors. We want to express our support to the people of Australia and the organization of Sydney festival in these difficult times. We hope that this nightmare will soon be over.

  22. Symphonia Harmoniae Caelestium Revelationum at MC93

    24/10/2019 — On the 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of November you can immerse into the mystical world of Hildegard von Bingen at MC93 in Bobigny. The voice and movements of François Chaignaud accompanied by Marie-Pierre Brébant on the bandura bring to life the musical score of the 12th-century nun. With this new creation Simone will propose a rocky desert as a designated cruising zone for strange encounters.     24/08/2017 — We proudly announce the world première of François Chaignaud and Nino Laisné's latest creation, on 9 and 10 September at La Bâtie Festival de Genève. Chaignaud and four musicians from early or folk music ensembles create a dialogue between live music, singing and dance. This theatrical performances evokes genres from popular traditions (the art of romance, flamenco, jota, zancos) as well as so-called highbrow culture (court ballet, baroque music).

    28/08/2016 — In the summer of 2015, Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud were the first choreographers invited by the TanzTheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch to create an original piece for the company since the loss of the choreographer. They created The Lighters - Dancehall Polyphony, where meet and derive the polyphonic repertoire of English madrigals from the Renaissance to the Dancehall of Kingston’s streets.For their new piece for their own company, they decided to continue this research and explore these practices and contrasts. They invited five ballerinas and collaborators specialized in the Dancehall to join them in the exploration of song and dance.

De titel verwijst naar twee onderzoeksdomeinen die de choreografen nauw aan het hart liggen: Jamaicaanse dancehallmuziek en Georgische polyfone gezangen. ‘Creatie 2016’ diept dit onderzoek verder uit.
